News: Changelog

IP changes Taiwan + Hong Kong 02

Our long time sponsor in Hong Kong, Salmon Cloud, will cease operations by the end of this month. We'd like to thank them for supporting the project! The resolver hkg02 has been moved to a different provider and therefore its IPs have changed.

We had to reinstall the resolver in Taiwan which resulted in an IP change as well.

The resolver lists have been updated accordingly.

IP change Phoenix, AZ

Our current provider is discontinuing their services in Arizona, so we had to switch to a new one, resulting in changes to the IPv4 and IPv6 addresses.

Some updates

Most of the issues mentioned in the last news post have been resolved, but IPv6 is still not functional in Allentown. The ticket with the provider is still open but they're responding extremely slow at the moment.

The issues with blocked traffic in Ho-Chi-Minh City have not been resolved, so that we've switched to a different provider. The name of the resolver is unchanged.

We have added a resolver in Zürich, Switzerland which is sponsored by MLNL.HOST. Thank you so much!

In addition, there have been IP changes in the following locations:

  • Allendale (IPv4)
  • Las Vegas (IPv6)
  • Liberty Lake (IPv6)
  • Newcastle (IPv6)
  • Redditch (IPv6)

Current Outages

At the moment, quite a few of our resolvers are not fully functional. I'm in touch with the respective providers to get this sorted.

  • Newcastle - They have issues with their networking equipment. IPv4 is fully functional as part of a temporary workaround. IPv6 will be restored as soon as their new equipment is in place. No ETA.
  • Timișoara - IPv6 is not functional at the moment. I've opened a ticket with the provider but don't have any details yet.
  • Allentown - I lost access to the server three days ago and am unable to check what's going on. The provider has disable their control panel as a temporary security measure. No ETA.
  • Ho-Chi-Minh City - Provider says that their datacenter blocks UDP traffic after a DDoS attack. I am in touch with them but don't have any information when this will be restored.
  • Ebène - IPv6 connectivity has been interrupted today. I've opened a ticket with the provider but don't have any information yet.

I'm sorry for the downtimes, but I hope you're able to find a working resolver nearby. We're doing basic monitoring, so if you see a red blinking light on our resolvers page, we've already been notified about an issue.

If you notice anything beyond that, please reach out via email!

New provider in Adelaide

Our current provider in Adelaide has notified us that they will discontinue their hosting services as of February 1st. Therefore, we have switched to a different provider.

Our resolver in Adelaide is now hosted by BinaryLane, and the resolver lists have been updated with the new IP addresses.
