Using DNS-over-HTTPS Resolvers on Windows

Here's how you can use the native DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH) feature in Windows 11:

Step 1: Open Network Settings

  1. Press Win + I to open the Settings app.
  2. Go to Network & internet.

Step 2: Configure DNS Settings

  1. Select Wi-Fi or Ethernet, depending on your connection type.
  2. Click on Hardware properties.
  3. Under DNS server assignment, click the Edit button.

Step 3: Set Up DNS-over-HTTPS

  1. In the Edit DNS settings window, select Manual.
  2. Toggle IPv4 or IPv6 depending on your network configuration.
  3. Enter the DNS server addresses you'd like to use. You can find them on our Public Resolvers page.
  4. For each DNS server, select Encrypted only (DNS over HTTPS) from the dropdown menu.
  5. Click Save to apply the changes.
